Renimmob Properties Limited plans to redevelop 535-551 Brant Street. This redevelopment is proposed to consist of: a 26-storey mixed-use building with approximately 248 residential units, including one, two and three bedroom units and ground floor commercial space.

If Renimmob Properties Limited chooses to pursue this redevelopment, it would require amendments to the City of Burlington Official Plan and Zoning By-law. The current Official Plan designation of the site is Downtown Mixed Use Centre, Downtown Core Precinct and the current zoning is Downtown Commercial Zone “DC”. No development applications have been submitted to the City of Burlington at this time, and the City has not made any decisions on this proposal. A Virtual Pre-Application Community meeting has been scheduled to discuss this potential redevelopment, so that the public can provide feedback to Renimmob Properties Limited at this early stage.
During the meeting, City Planning staff will provide an overview of the development application review process, as well as the planning polices in effect on the site. The project team will provide an overview of their redevelopment concept. There will be a question, answer and comment session to share thoughts about the proposal with the project team.

After the application has been submitted to the City, notice will be sent to residents within 120 metres of the site, and details of the application will be publicly available at Burlington.ca/developmentprojects. At that stage residents can provide comments and questions to City Staff.
