The Ward 2 seat demands strong leadership and deep business experience – I'll bring it. I haven’t rested since advocating as a resident and now your Councillor. I will continue to work harder than anyone to ensure our community remains the best place to live, raise a family, retire in place or run a business. My experience will keep us on the right track.

Responsible Growth
I support responsible growth of our downtown and main streets without over-intensification. You already know my unparalleled understanding of our Official Plan and local planning matters. My track record in advocating for responsible growth in our downtown and main streets while welcoming new residents is strong.
Accountable Planning Together we have achieved the impossible, taking immense pressure off the downtown. What's next? I'll be at the forefront of Council decisions and advocacy to defend appeals by developers against our Official Plan. I'll keep working towards a Tribunal that is fair and efficient, if not abolished. I believe you should shape the future of this Ward through engagement with the city.
Housing Affordability Residents tell me, “I chose Burlington," however, it is harder than ever to own a home in Ward 2. I'm on record - every time- advocating for family and assisted units in new developments. Council has set in place strong tools to deliver on the vibrancy and inclusion that will come, making this a place for everyone. I will deliver on our roadmap to address local housing needs and increase housing options through the Burlington Housing Strategy.
Real Value For Your Taxes I've brought expertise in directing dollars where you'll see real value and I've challenged unnecessary spending. Many are experiencing tightening budgets and so is the City. I will work as hard as ever to deliver valued services through mindful and responsible spending.
Community Strength
We have a beautiful place to live, work, and play. Listening and real involvement with the many community members is critical in bringing us forward together. We bond through culture, compassion and resiliency. I've been your community champion for many years!
Strong Businesses We have a strong business presence across our ward who help shape our culture and keep people invested in our community. I ensure every decision made at Council has the best interest of our business community in mind and I will continuously advocate on their behalf to promote economic vibrancy.
Climate Action We only have one planet. In 2019 a Climate Emergency was called in our City. We need action at the local level and across all our partners – navigating a low-carbon energy pathway for the community. From protecting and providing trees to providing honest transit alternatives, a climate lens is on all decisions.
Transit Strategy People need to move through the city - on most days it already feels like gridlock. Together we can get the Transit & Transportation Plans right. As your advocate, I have improved transit funding as a priority, invested in active transportation and will revitalize our shared downtown streets. We need more honest options.
